I wouldn't really be affected too much, the only games that i need to get at least within a week or two of their release are the multiplayer games. Games that are primarily a single player experience I can hold off on. But its just really all bad.... I can't get evolve cause i will be deep in destinys multiplayer. Can't get middle earth cause i wil be on dragon age. Can't get evil within cause i will be get alien isolation instead. They really have to figure out a better way to release games, cause most of these are great games but I will not even be considerring getting them cause i just lack the time, and if i can put off their purchases at laucnh I might as well wait till I can get them on sale 6-7 months later. At least unlike you I will be paying in dolars not pounds :) |
Yeah it's really stupid, but in their defence...when they initially plan the games they dont really take into account competitors (because they dont know what they are doing 18 months before the games release)....what some of them should have done was said Winter 2014... and then they can move them about a bit once they see how everyone else is doing.
Big problem is that when a date is set for many games, they generally cannot move it, due to advertising, dev costs etc.
From a personal point of view i need to find where i am going to get the time to play these games.. because i just dont have it right now... and have a massive back log of games I need to start.
