When are our badges going to be updated? UPDATE: They Have Been Updated!

What is the point of getting a high score in a game? Or getting the most football goals ever, or any other thing worth doing.

Why even keep track of posts? Why not just communist up this site and make everybody have nothing. I am sure some care bout their posts. Just because you do not care about something does not mean others do not. Basically saying screw you all who put time in the database back in the day (which now pays the bills on gamewise) all who have made posts and threads and wall posts that have helped ioi pay the bills for years. Do you know how long and hard some of us worked on these badges? Etc?

 

They are nothing but accolades, trophies. Do we just erase history, no matter how unhappy some are over it? 

 

Incorporate them or add them to something else if you want, but to just get rid of worthless points, badges, and post tracking would be a big Fuck you to everyone who has been here over the years. We can still have vg$ and keep points and badges as well.

Everyone blame yourselves for most of our site being gone. The constant complaining over mising old features, colors, gamrconnect features, etc made ioi dump this site for gamewise. Our wonderfully easy database gone for the confusing crap of gamewise, that only soccer moms give money to when looking for mobile game tips. If ya'll would have stopped complaining we would still have a database, gamrtv, gamrconnect, review, etc here.

 

So now ya'll want to make even more changes at the expense of others. Disgusting, and selfish! No one learns from the past. Nobody gave a shit about vgchat or vg$ until it was gone. Now we constantly argue for the same thing to happen to points and badges.At least badges are fun. Points just got a bad rap, but used to get you prizes. If done right, it could happen again, but only award prizes based on a threads popularity, if it does well, the points are rewarded and is added to the total.

 

anyways, just ideas. Please though, in the future do not take a giant dump on what some have spent years earning. Spamish badges for me and others are not the only badges out there. Also lets not forget that pretty much anyone who gets 10,000 points a month, is pretty much guaranteed to have given the site 500,000 page views or more for that month. Profile views, threads created vjews, your own posts and clicks, people cliking to see your posts, etc. I have added it up multiple times. Many months I brought the site over a million views from all I just listed. Same with many others including yourself last month.

 

Grass is always greener on the other side, but each time ioi has made a change t this site since its inception, people have hated it. Just saying. History lesson for ya'll noobs.

But who still cares about points and badges except for a few people? Getting rid of them won't be that big of a deal to most users.
