Also another thing is that Mario Kart 8, though attracts a lot of hardcores and unique players, has a lot to do with casuals. I bet the majority of Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7 buyers bought it because they wanted a game to play for 10 mins and then put it down. They aren't the type that will buy the game or console when it's released, whether or not the bundle is great and the price is too. They will wait for holiday seasons. We'll probably see steady sales until November then really see them spike again. With Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2 coming out before Black Friday, Wii U will probably gain some more ground. But I think Mario Kart has really saved the Wii U, but the game is a time bomb that's going to really go off this holiday season
