I've been repeating this quite a few times already, but it has become quite obvious to me that Sony are trying (trying not always succeeding e.g. Driveclub/The Order) to announce their games closer to release.

That's why Uncharted 4 was the only Sony game at E3 that was over a year away (and that's only because Uncharted was just a huge way to end the conference) everything else is supposed to come out by summer 2015 at the latest. I personally love that way of announcing games and hope they continue to do it like that.

i wonder how much of that is "trying to announce closer to release" and how much of that is "we're already beat the living hell out of xbox just by saying you can trade games with your friends and cost $100 less so let's save the game announcements until next year so we can beat a dead horse".

I'm sure it's a bit of both. They don't want another TLG, Agent or FFXIII Versus and they also feel that they don't have to show all their cards early since they're in a comfortable position anyway.

Whatever it is, I much prefer this way than MS' "panicky" way of needing to show games and therefore showing CGI trailers of 3 games that may or may not come in 2015. I have a very hard time getting excited over something like that, especially with things like Phantom Dust, seriously what was that?
