That aside, it will take a lot less time to reach 100M this gen. You have the lower priced consoles to thank for it. And that MS is coming in second. MS is more willing to cut prices on their hardware when in a losing position, and that will only force sony's hand to cut too. So we end up with a price war (happened in gen 6). PS4 and XB1 are both currently a price drop or two from being at $299. I expect at least one of them to be at $299 by xmas 2015. And if one of them is going to be at $299 by that time, then both of them will cause no one can allow anyone that kinda price advantage going into a holiday season.
