Something like that will not happen for ages because it defeats the purpose (especially Nintendo’s) of games being playable and accessible by people of all ages. A game that interacts like that would scare off so many people and would leave Nintendo at the end of the console market all over again. The Wii remote is user friendly but having to put something on your head which ends up blocking out the room around you would create a "I don't feel comfortable" feeling in more then allot of people. It would only be taken up by the hard core tech junkies.

A concept I’ve seen that works nicely is this thing where you wear it on your head similarly to that fans concept in the video and it reads your brain waves to interact with the game on a TV screen. Stuff like that is more accessible and would be more inline with Nintendo’s strategy but I still wouldn’t count on Nintendo doing it in the next gen

EDIT: and besides the console looks retarded, like something out of a 80s sci-fi movie but maybe even worse. if it looked like a master chief helmet then maybe... so to answer your question- No it will not be the future of console gaming but maybe arcades, most definitely arcades before consoles. If you can't imagine your grandma or 4 year old little sister playing it with ease then don't ever count on it, it would be excluding the mass market of non hard core gamers.
