How are those terrible numbers? PS4 and 3DS are back at the 100.000 numbers, WiiU is above its 30.000 sales, hopefully to stay at a most healthy 50.000, PS3 still selling good... The only ones weaker than the rest are the XBone, Vita and the others. The Xbone is still far to the sales of the PS4, but it's not a bad number, it will improve. The Vita outside of Japan worries me though.

I think people are just comparing this gen with the 7th gen too much. 7th gen had two consoles above 100 million and three above 80 million units sold. That was the exception. In other gens the sales usually never reached 80m. Only 4 consoles before 7th gen did it: GB, GBA (barely), PS1 and PS2. The market is just returning to its normal size.
