That is shipped leo-j or as sony says SOLD to retailers and not sell through. they already did this with the PSP they said it sold 20 million when the DS sold 20 million only to end up shipping 1 million WW the following winter. So now they are closer to having sold what they shipped last year. I beleive the PSP once had as much as 6 million units sitting on the shelves.
Sony like any and all companies will use the best sounding numbers they can. The only company whose numbers I will take at this moment is Nintendo because well the Wii is still sold out and the DS is damn close to it making it harder to inflate. The moment I see a Wii in the store for longer than 2 weeks is the moment Nintendos numbers will be inflated from reality.
MS said they sold 10.4 million by January but shipped hardly anything since than indicating that was shipped not sold.
