Did you ever hear of "cheat codes" ? Those things used to be free.

Now we should be thankful to beeing able to skip parts of a terribly designed game (parts that require un-fun grinding are bad game design)

Grinding can be fun too. But if something is so bad that people would rather pay money to skip it, you fucked up.

Actually cheat codes were not free.  People had to buy a mag to get those free cheat codes.  Of course with the net, once one person purchase the cheat code from the mag, it was up on every BBS (yes I went that far back in time).
