There are usually reasons people make alts though, some are legit reasons like to ask questions. If people were just using two accounts with neither breaking rules I expect one of them would have to be banned, although no one does that, right?

If one is not banned and has a second account, I can't think a legit reason of creating it. If they are banned and want only to ask a question, that would make sense.

Creating a second account when there is nothing wrong with your first one is techincally breaking the rules, since you are only allowed to have one. So I don't see why only one of them would have to be banned. The second is banned by default and the primary one should be banned for breaking the rules, right? Like I said, I'm not asking the mods to do anything about it; i just find it weird how people make alts all the time (quite a few have admitted making more than 5 in the past) with seemingly no legit reason, as the one you mentioned.
