Cheaper then buying the GameCube 3D display they never made, and then Sony ripped-off for PS3.
Nintendo said 3rd party Devs can have3D capable games on Wii U, excluding the launch titles, but with this patent, you can just play all Wii U games in 3D without a 3D TV. A lot of people still don't have an HD TV yet, including myself.
