I think that the biggest reason why I've been excited that Smash and Kart are finally being released is because now Nintendo can finally start focussing on the real games...
Mario sports games! I have an unhealthy love for these games. I don't care that I don't like sports games. Throw Mario into soccer or tennis, and I'm good. And I also really hope that they make a dedicated Mario Football (American) and Mario Basketball game for the Wii U this generation. After Splatoon, I've given up on Mario Paintball.
