This gen launch in 2005. I think 7-8 years is long enough.

Graphics quality had nearly flatlined. It was becoming a standard that 24fps was fine. No, 2 more years would have meant drops to 15 frames per second all the time. 

If console games care too much about graphics and framerate they would go to PC,ps3 and Xbox 360 did respectable number until Sony and Microsoft announced Ps4 and Xbox one it better the release next gen when the last gen sales are really low like 2-3 millions


I'm honestly not sure what you're trying to say in the last half there. And I'm not asking for much when I want framerates above 15FPS. 24 is the absolute minimum for playability.
