Thats just it though. VGC actively tracks hundreds of games and residually tracks thousands. It will never be exactly right.
When it comes to hardware, I guess I am suggesting a slight shift in the model to rebalance the regularity/accuracy equation - hopefully for the better.

changing to bi weekly or monthly wont make any difference without them improving there data collection sources first.

No, but as I have said the majority of the problem is perception, not an actual issue with the data. Bi-weekly would result in less variation in the reported numbers...and hopefully less controversy as a result.

well id rather see them investing in getting better data, than masking the quality of there data behind less regular updates.
