Anyone else feel games without achievements/trophies are a waste of time?

Not at all. The game itself should be my motivation, not the urge to get gamer points. I think part of the idea of achievements is neat only because it can encourage you to play the game in ways you may not have otherwise, but aside from that I don't really see their value.
