Xenoblade Chronicles was the best console RPG i played last gen, despute all the goods i had on PS3. I played DA:O on PC though. And let's be honest, i really enjoyed The Witcher 2, but the hype for the next one feels mostly as early adopters trying to justify jumping on the next gen so soon. And by now i have my doubts about when we will see FFXV, let alone KH3. Bloodborne and Fable still needs to show much more. |
Inquisition has earned a buy from me based on the hype for it thus far. Can't wait to see more of it. I played DA on the 360 and DA2 on the PS3 so my saves don't matter and personally DA 2 wasn't that great for me to care. The next game seems like a truer RPG than just an action game.
I haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles Just yet though. I havent played A Monilith game since I had my Playstation 2. Perhaps when I purchase my Wii U they will have a digital version of the game, before I jump on X.
Witcher 2 in my opinion is the only RPG from last gen that truly gave us what we paid for when we're talking about choice and having those choices affect the world. With sixteen different endings you couldn't go wrong with playing the game multiple times and trying out different choices and meeting new people. Luckily for the PC gamers they got to transfer their saves from one Witcher to the next.
As for the Square games in FFXV and KH3, I am sure they will highlight Tokyo Gameshow because that show never really has heavy hitters outside of Final Fantasy complete with the usual bowing and ass kissing to the Japanese fans saying "We will give you some games, we swear" and then doing the opposite by focusing on the west once more.
