I don't think gaming is going anywhere anytime soon...
Even if you mean "quality" I don't think so. I can't argue your point because it's your opinion but I think gaming can still be fresh and new. The indie games are mixing things up that much more too.
One more thing. Who cares what other people are playing? If you still have fun playing games that sell 10K. So be it. If a game you find boring brings nothing new sells 10 Million, oh well. Is it really hurting you?
