Only through a combination of shocking occurrences and the shuffling of high-ranking staff, have they become more pragmatic. I've always considered Shuhei Yoshida to be a nice chap (despite being a shameless moneyhatter in '93) who loved what he was doing, and he quite often had good things to say about the competition.
