To clarify the issue of Xavier and Beasts cure... for me personally it is not that fact that it conflicts with x3 that bothers me. I'm more than willing to pretend x3 never happened, my real problem with beast and Charles "cure" is that it is such a lazy and transparent plot device. In this move they seem to have come up with scenes they wanted and then built convenient logic around those scenes rather than trying to write better scenes. They wanted the scene where Wolverine has to "convince" Xavier that he was from the future so they had to remove his powers. And why does it give him the ability to walk as well? Well, because Xavier has to be involved in some action scenes in this movie. And the actor who played beast probably didn't want to be in makeup all the time so he gets a convenient cure as well.

Also convenient, Kitty prides brand new powers that have absolutely nothing to do with her old powers. Why? Because Hugh Jackman is the biggest star and the movie has to revolve around him so instead of sending kitty pride back in time we'll give her bizarre powers that we won't even bother explaining and send Wolverine back in time instead.

Quicksilver is also only in the film to screw with marvel studios, seeing as how he seems like an afterthought. His scene was cool but it was completely out of place in the movie. He comes then he goes. Why not keep him around? And of course, why break Magneto out of jail in the first place. They are breaking out the most dangerous mutant on the planet, could the writers not come up with a better reason than "He needs to give Mystique a good talking to"...? Just really sloppy writing all around.

I didn't hate the film. There were a lot of aspects I liked about it but the sloppy writing really ruined it for me.
