The developer has actively chosen to favor better graphics/more dynamic game aspects rather than 60fps. It's the same reason Burnout Paradise was 60fps on the 360 but FH1 was 30fps (both open world). I know FH isn't a 'proper' arcade racer, but the reviews I've read about the original imply it's somewhat of a hybrid between sim and arcade. If something is a proper sim (GT/FMS) it's generally 60fps, if it's anything else it's generally 30fps (exceptions for both of course, but it's a common theme). |
Having an open world with those level of graphics is what I'm referring to.
I don't feel fps really has anything to do with being a racing sim.
