At the end of the day there are literal droughts of months where there are no games or just one or two. That is no way to run a console, I'm sorry that is unacceptable for any console and no matter how good the quality of the first party games is, it's pathetic that a well established console maker can't seem to find enough support to warrant purchases.

If the quality of the software was so superior than sales would prove that. But it's not, so the people in here who are in denial of the Wii U's condition need to realize that first, Nintendo, quality or not can not compete in a meaningful way and if their next console performs similiarly to the Wii U than Nintendo is done with as a console maker. Secondly, it IS Nintendo's fault for not having more support. They decided to build this console this way with this controller. The controller has not one game like Wii Sports that showed off what potential it has. It's like Nintendo thought that people would just buy another iteration based solely on the name! They either need to abandon the controller or make a game that makes people warm up to it. And this game should have been released with the console not now or at the 2 year anniversary. To than expect 3rd party companies to have to figure out a way to use it, it's no wonder most studios don't want to be bothered. And in truth I'm sure most didn't want to do the same with the Wii (most didn't do a good job anyway) but they did because of the sales.

So in the end, it's up to Nintendo to justify their hardware and controller and entice third parties, otherwise what is the point of being a console manufacturer if only you are supporting it.
