What? Kaz Hirai did nothing special as head of SCE. The price of the PS3 was reduced over time (which anyone could have done) and third parties never wanted to leave PlayStation behind in order to develop for the market leader, nor was the 360's installed base big enough to justify exclusive games (meaning that Hirai didn't even have any convincing to do). He took over a division whose biggest problems solved themselves over time.

Aside from that, it's important to look at products that were born from Hirai's leadership at SCE. PlayStation Move was a bust. The PSP Go was a flop. But most importantly, the PS Vita is paving the way for Sony's exit in the handheld market. As for the PS4 (which Hirai was also responsible for), it's not much of a challenge to come out on top when the competition self-destructs in such a spectacular fashion.

Hirai has yet to show any ability of lateral thinking. All he has been doing is sustain existing things and cut things that were beyond saving, but there are no new ideas. At least not any that have had a positive effect.

is that why Sony is just ignoring the playstation Move with VR? no that would be Nintendo with the WiiMote and Microsoft with Kinect! just because Sony does not heavy spend to promote a product does not mean they do not care about it or that is somehow a freaking flop!

Really ? because Sony's got the right idea to invest more into smartphones and Tablet gaming and making a Micro Game console which by the Way Apple and Amazon and Google are heavy to invest into the living room and it seems that at least Sony's got the idea to at least challenge them on that front with a Micro Game console.

The fact is Sony under Kaz has at least better direction and d@mn sure more focus to the Eco system that they are trying to build.
