Even Religion itself seems to think that when the end comes, Religious people will be hunted.

Given how the Constitution is written, there's no conceivable way for the US to ban religion without a serious overhaul of said document. Which is highly unlikely given saying you're an atheist or an agnostic is tantamount to political suicide, and it's still illegal in a handful of States to hold public office as an atheist.
