Personally, I'm not a fan of mindless enemies, zombie or otherwise. Zombie horde games, especially, turn into a chore for me.
I don't mind them IN games, like those in Fallout 3/NV, as they do given an eeriness and sense of fear in small doses, but all of that is lost when they're the focal point or they're just target practice dummies. I don't really mind them when they're tough and not to be taken lightly, either. Something like Dead Rising, though? Not my cup of tea.
