Nobody on Earth would look at the financial ratios for Nintendo and try to make the case that they are in financial distress. That's isn't a case anybody would make.
The case you would make is that if the Wii U is a product that continues to lose money, then Nintendo should consider cutting it. Businesses cut failing sections of their overall business all the time. If the Wii U isn't even recovering its variable costs, including game sales, then it ought to be considered being discontinued. It's the Nintendo fanboys that don't understand business that would argue keeping a product around that causes a firm to take giant losses year after year just for the sake of nostalgia, stubbornness, or face.
Nintendo isn't going to "vanish", but produts that don't make money should be cut. Trim the fat.
