Killzone SF launched right on time. The problem with SF was with the storyline, but the multiplayer was some of the best ive seen from them in a while. Very streamlined. Sure to bring in the COD fans. Killzone has a lot of growing to do still.

Sony hasnt been rushing their games. MS will rush anything to get the positive public perception off of Sony as quickly as possible and Sony set the bar for when their gen would start. MS is just following them wherever they go because thats all MS ever does. If Sony was to disappear from the industry MS wouldnt know what to do with themselves.

Microsoft had a strategy until february of last year when Sony revealed the PS4 and they went crazy trying catch up because lord knows Sony cant launch without them now. Everyone who followed the development of Sony and Microsofts new consoles knew MS was months behind Sony in development and in February Sony caught them off guard.

Microsoft pays third parties for most of their games in the first three years. Look at last gen. Almost every game that wasnt made by Rare until halo came out was a timed exclusive or an exclusive paid for by Microsoft from third parties. Sony was low on games because the third parties were blocked off from them and their first party came out swinging in late 2007-2008. Uncharted came out and then MGS4 came immediately after that. Having the exclusive of MGS4 helped out big time and helped increase their sales big time. After that Sony's first party took the wheel and showed just how bad Microsoft's first party really is to those who pay attention. Even I made fun of the fact that Sony had no games when I first came to VGchartz and that was in 2008. In 2011 Gamespot made a tally showing how many IP's Sony had created over both Nintendo and Microsoft. Its astonishing really.

Off topic, but you realy belive in that BS?

The leaks of Orbis and Durango date as far as 2011. By Mid 2012 we already knew the next Xbox would have 8GB of RAM and the PS4 were to use GDDR5 (4GB at that time). By late 2012 the leaks were accurated about both consoles GPUs. The only surprise of the February reveal was the 8GB RAM.

You can even find a tweet from a top guy in Crytek talking about a Durango devcon in yearly 2012.

Microsoft didn´t changed their plans until the pos-E3 outcry with online DRM and now the not bundling the Kinect.

Sorry, but I got banned for quote trees so I couldnt respond promptly . From the leaks we all knew the PS4 would launch first and would be powered considerably compared to last gen. Around the time of December/January we started getting leaks that orbis was closing its period of development and the Durango hadn't been confirmed to be finished. In February of last year Sony shocked the world letting us all know the PS4 was coming and that it had 8GB of ram DDR5 but also that it had more power under the hood. Immediately after that announced their showing (because they cannot just let Sony launch without their input). MS has a paranoia about letting Sony launch without interfering in their potential marketshare. They've had it ever since the first gen. I saw an interview once and a guy said you just dont want to do that with Sony but I forgot the name. They were talking about the making of the 360, but I forgot the name. Anyway, Microsoft shows off the Xbox and gets a bad reception from it being considered an entertainment > gaming machine. It made them look out of touch completely vs Sony who had their eyes squarely on gamers and potential of power on their PS4. Reports started coming in during this time that Microsoft was rushing the development of the Xbox One to meet Sony to launch and other rumors were coming in because they were mad at AMD because Sony's graphics would be considerably better I believe the GPU of the PS4 is superior.  They were saying they were quickly rushing to fix the clock speed of the Xbox Ones before they got to launch so they could stand a chance against the PS4 in some way and launch with them. Microsoft wanted to be as close as possible with Sony for launch with AMD and that fell out of place.

MS was back peddling with the XBox One before E3. They were backpeddling with the hardware, but E3 made them backpeddle with policies. Everything they do in the gaming industry to put a spokes in Sony's wheel. If Sony beats them at anything they will mimmick Sony. Thats how MS has always worked and their reasons for being in the gaming industry only amount around that.
