So this is what they have done already:

-No Create-A-Style
-No Colour Wheel
-No Swimming Pools
-No Toddlers age stage
-Loading Screens for Worlds
-Loading Screens Districts
-Loading Screens for individual Lots
-Only 5 Hoods per World
-Only 2 to 5 lots per Hoods
-So only 10 to 25 lots per World
-Only 1 World supplied in Base Game
-Cannot edit the public areas (Parks, etc.)
-Invisible rabbit-holes/vanishing Sims
-Hair isn't as realistic as TS3
-Textures are blurry and lack bump mapping
-Buildings can only have 3 floors (plus a foundation and a roof)
-Clothing can not be bought by Sims, in game CAS or unlockables only
-Trams are decor only (not interactive) [Cars may be too, the steam boats almost certainly are]
-No WooHoo Skill
-Lots of so called new features are already in The Sims 3
Multi-tasking Sims (The Sims 3 can read and relax in bed, watch TV while chatting, chat in groups, etc)
Emotional moods (currently in the form of Moodlets in The Sims 3)

But hey! Maybe I can make my adult sims throw a toddler style tantrum using the new and sophisticated emotion range the sims will now have!

That's the WORST thing they took away so far. NEVER erase an essential function like that in your newer game.. And I didn't even know about all of those world editing problems. This ain't going to be good.
