So what? According to Yahoo finance,

Apple has 6 month average current assets of $75 billion, http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=aapl&ql=1
Microsoft has 6 month average current assets of $107 billion, http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=msft&ql=1
Sony has 12 month average current assets of $41 billion http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=SNE&annual
And... according to Nintendo's Annual report, they have current assets of less than $12.7 billion http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2013/annual1303e.pdf (page 24) And total assets of $15.4 billion. In other words, Microsoft could buy Nintendo 6 times with just current assets.

What's your point?

These companies are hardly comparable in scale. Nintendo is a gaming company, not a computer giant. Do you think the gaming division is responsible for $13 billion of MS's current assets?

It's probably not even half of that.

There was a Forbes article a few months ago that valued the Xbox division at $23 billion so it must have some very expensive assets.
