Nintendo - Zelda U graphics - View Post

Question: Lets assume darker toned Zelda games sells better than lightly toned Zelda games. Would the first be more profitable? (Note that a more naturalistic game means there are more development costs involved and that isn't considering implicit costs - such as marketing to the "hardcore" non nintendo fans to buy a Wii U (face it Zelda fans will buy the game no matter what.) I am pretty sure the brogamers you guys are talking about, whom the darker style appeals to, dont have Wii Us and would not buy one for a single game. From a business perspective it makes sense why Nintendo would choose this style for an open world game.
