I was your age when that game was both unveiled and launched and trust me, people threw up in their MOUTH over the graphics. The internet was a shit storm the likes I have never seen since. The "kiddy" imagine single handedly killed that game commercially. By the time the reviews came out, and people saw that it was still a good game, no one cared anymore. It was too late. 

Yep. Not to mention that people actually asked for TP and was the reason the same NoA asked NCL to change artstyle of the already announced Wind Waker 2.
