Don't see it happening for a long time. The GB Player and Super Gameboy/2 were done yes. But No DS equalant was made for Wii. And no to a 3DS. VC is porting it. VS the Super and Player had the hardware (Super Gameboy 2 added the link cable port) built into them. Same goes for the N64 Transfer Pak. Here are my cleaning photos. Full GB/GBA hardware inside.
