No soriku age has nothing to do with it, its trust, they dont trust you or me. Our pasts have been terrible, remember age didnt stop road killers.

 Age is very very connected with maturity level (As you have shown in a big way in the past).  There may be situations that would seem pretty logical to someone over 18 or so that may not be to you or Soriku due to your lack of experience.  So, yes it does have to do with age Im guessing.
