That's a bad reason to pull something like that. It doesn't really make sense going in either direction. The only reason that more releases would result in lowered sales on one of the titles would be due to too many games taking up too much attention at once, therefore interrupting the sales potential with each game. The reverse doesn't work because sales potential is the real topic here. A drought doesn't automatically make sales potential higher. A higher installed base would, though.
