Then what is the problem? You say PS3 version still has huge value, if you don't think the PS4 version is worth 50$ to you, play the PS3 version, which again as you said has huge value, nobody is abandoning you, online servers are still up, you get DLC support.
Full PS3 compatibility would likely add 100$ to the price tag, bigger size, more power usage and external brick or something, plus Sony or any other publisher could no longer sell HD Remasters, so it waas always out of the question.
You're way too entitled imo, I'm really happy and often surprised how many Cross-Buy (PS4/PS3/Vita) games we get, if TLoU would be a simple port, then maybe a 10$ upgrade would be fair, but it's not.

i understand the bc part.. just saying if it was there, then this whole argument is moot. but the fact of the matter is, i already have it on the ps3. if i want to play it on the ps4, i have to buy the ps4 version? wouldnt an upgrade make more sense for these gamers that like to keep their game but be able to play it on the ps4 also? like i said.. regardless of port cost, it's the same game. cost of new purchases will already cover the port cost. it's not like they are starting from scratch. they don't need to hustle exisitng owners. this isn't a question of entitlement.. it's more a question of sony's strategy for their exisiting gamer base and how they will transition those gamers that's already done the retail purchasing to the ps4. i don't see how a $10-$20 upgrade fee cheapens anything.

I don't know whether it would make sense, it would definitely be cool, I would oppose that, I'm a PS3 version owner, who would of course love if I could save this money.
Thing is, nobody does that. See any GotY edition, there are no upgrade plans, see any cross-generational title, if you buy PS3 versions of those games you are not getting the PS4 version, see HD Remasters, I didn't get Tomb Raider Definitive Edition for 10$.
The launch upgrade plan was a special occasion, where Sony wanted to give direct incentive for last gen owners to smoothly jump to the PS4, very limited thing. We realistically shouldn't expect Sony doing it for every, or even any bigger retail game.
