Capcom would be a much better investment. Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, [franchise] Vs Capcom and Mega Man compared to Crysis and TimeSplitters..? MT Framework and Panta Rhei compared to just the CryEngine..?

It would be worth buying Capcom because they not only have superior IPs and two engines, but they also own several developers.

Crytek are a high profile indie developer with a high profile engine and not a great deal of valuable IPs. Capcom are a high profile publisher with two high profile engines, a great deal of valuable IPs, will give Nintendo access to every single legacy game for the VC and own several developers.

And most importantly of all it would give them the second biggest IP in Japan exclusively to both their home and portable consoles until they say otherwise.

And if all that wasn't enough Capcom also have a good foothold in the mobile market too.

There's really no competition tbh.
