And yes, as I mentioned earlier of course they will eat into each others sales. They are two competing products. That is why they will not launch at the same time. Square-Enix is well aware of the fact that two of their heavy hitting titles launching too close together will only hurt their bottom line. This is shown by the fact that they were/are considering delaying FFXIII because the launch was/is too close to Dragon Quest IX. If they do release it then there expectations for one of the titles is significantly lower than the other. |
when did you say they will launch at different times? I also clearly stated earlier that the way I precieved these games will be launched together (both with different stories but one game following a different person than the other). If they launch at different times then no they should not be counted together. That gives people enough time to play their first purchase through only to decide if they want the next,
