I haven't met a single person that disliked the multiplayer in Acsension.

Yeah, generally I dislike multiplayer, but I have to admit ascension's mp was very good.  It's problem was more that the single player campaign had been tacked on as an excuse to create the mp, and while I would still consider it a good game it doesn't hold a candle to its predacessors.
