The main problem with CE3 currently is the high licensing fees, maybe if Nintendo also dropped those CE3 could see more support and, therefore, more chances of seeing Wii U ports down the road. Also, engine licensing is quite a lucrative business, Epic Games know it very well, you just need to make it easy to develop(which CE3 already is) and acessible for 3rd party companies. |
CE3 isn't available anymore, now it's only CryEngine. This means you get every future major release for free, so there have probably been some licensing fees changed, I'm not sure.
