This is the problem.
An opponent to a company is seen as a hater, while a proponent is seen as a fanboy. There's little consideration of a three-dimensional view of audiences, because gaming fans are still stuck in 8-bit 2D, with two action buttons labelled "agree" and "disagree".
I'm pretty pissed off with Nintendo because they haven't done enough to make me want their stuff, but I still consider them as a lifeboat in an ocean of shit.
