There's nothing wrong with handhelds. I never hinted at having an "angst" for handhelds. I own more handhelds than consoles. Handhelds are NOT equal to consoles. They are lesser, complimentary devices. Handhelds are holding the series back. Pokemon can't be all it can be on a handheld. Again, you'll never get a Pokemon game with the scale of Xenoblade, and almost every single hand held game ever made would be exponencially better if they were made on a home console instead, with the exeption of games with handheld exclusive gimmicks like with Tearaway. Pokemon would lose portability and gain literally everything else.

Even then, Nintendo would just make a Pokemon Stadium-like 3DS app to let you take your Pokemon battles/trades on the go. Done. I just solved Pokemon and made it better for everyone.

And this brings us back to what Dengle said. Why does Pokémon now have to be like Xenoblade in any shape or form? If GameFreak wants to evolve the Pokémon series then they'll do it on a Handheld. What makes you think moving the series over to a Home Console will make it all of the sudden different? Graphical improvement is a non-point.

You made it worse. Now there is no longer an actual game for the Handhelds, just an app.
