Why? What can the franchise win being on a home console? Maybe in the past, when handheld technology was more limited one could want games like Stadium or the GC Pokémon games, but handhelds will get more powerfull and with better online. If you want a proper Pokemon spinoff in a home console, just wait for Pokken, or other future spinoffs.

Look at Xenoblade Chronicles X. Now look at Pokemon X. That's "why."

Pokemon needs to grow the fuck up and graduate to home consoles and they needed to do it 10 years ago.

Xenoblade isn't even remotely similar to Pokemon. Pokemon has random battles, Xenoblade enemies appear in the overworld. Pokemon battles are turn-based, Xenoblade battles are real-time action. Pokemon XY actually has more extensive online components than Xenoblade appears to have. Xenoblade has a massive, epic, dramatic story with long cutscenes; Pokemon I like shorts they're comfy and easy to wear.

You don't want a Pokemon game on home consoles. You want a console game without a passing resemblance to Pokemon to be reskinned with Pikachus and Charizards.
