The most recent would be Titanfall, it was hyped to be this insane, incredibly fun shooter and turned out to be lacking in so many aspects, but my main one would be Grand Theft Auto IV. What Rockstar achieved on last-generation hardware was nothing short of incredible, but the game itself was mediocre. Sure, fun could be had, but you had to find it yourself. The map was too large and not designed overly well, the characters were weak, and the game-play was severely lacking and sloppy. The Grand Theft Auto name alone earned this game its review scores.
