You don't need to be the top dog to have a good business. Microsoft just needs to adapt to the market. Concentrate on the US, as nobody in europe or japan seems to want to have an X1. Don't throw too much money out of the window for meaningless 3rd party DLC deals or stuff like that, it won't make a difference. Focus on developing new games from 1st partys instead. That will have an impact in the long run and might secure a good position for Microsoft for the Next Generation.
Anything can happen, as every Gen starts at 0, which Gen 8 showed us yet again. So losing this isn't the end of the world for Microsoft. They just really need to stop making all these panic decisions and instead do something well planned for the long term. |
More of this psp foolishness. PSP was their first handheld, highest selling non ninty one ever. While X1 is MS 3rd console and it mannged to piss away every single market share the 360 fought and won last gen, a slight difference betwen them two.
MS gets into things to be top dog, they arent ones to settle happily into anything but 1st. They dint become MS by being happy and content in 2nd.

Please source your opinion that you state as a fact. Where has MS said their goal was to be first this gen? Also, why does this not apply to SONY and Nintendo?
Also, its been 6months how can you say that they lost all of their marketshare. Didn't the PS3 lose all its momentum from the PS2 before recovering? Why can MS do the same thing?

did you completly forget all the anouncedments when they where saying that they where in it to win it. them phil spencer even on e3 was saying that they want to show the world they are the best platform for games. but i do get your point xbox fans just listen to what they want to hear so you are excused.
