The last major game that was any good that made use of the motion sensing was MP3. The next major game for the Wii is Mario Kart and it has no need for motion sensing controls. So d-pad was a gimmick? What about shoulder buttons? I bet you think analog sticks were gimmicks too. Also rumble.

Memory cards muct have been gimmicks to you. I bet so are hard drives. O, I know...online gaming. That must be the biggest gimmick of all right now, huh?

 

Why are you assertively debasing an effective means of gameplay enhancement?

So thats it the Motion Sensing abilities of the WiiMote is now down to the level of a new button or d-pad. I thought this was supposed to be a "Revolution". In the past those new buttons, memory card, hard drive, online all came along with a much more powerful console. The WiiMote didnt come with a much more powerful console, the console came with the WiiMote is how this thing is sold. Nothing released on the Wii couldnt have been done on last gen console and include the controller as part of the game packing.

 Truth has revealed itself.  You're a graphic aficiando.  Had you simply implied you enjoy high end graphics over unique gameplay, you'd have not come across the way you did.   

 

I also note you suggest that the Wii si just a GC with waggle.  You fail to recall the built in Wi-Fi, online, WC24, Virtual Console, etc....all of which were not possible on GC.   Since you've established yourself as unwilling to look beyond the lack of a major graphical update from the GC, this debate will go no further.
