I think it is kinda like the Wii leo-j. Look at RE4:Wii edition... It is an awsome game no doupt, but if there were hordes of newer quality Mature games on the wii RE4 prolly would have died out after cmas.
PS3 gamers are hardcore, they look at reviews... If it is a good game they buy it. Thus the reason why ONLY AAA titles seem to sell on the PS3(not to mention people are not going to spend 59.99 on a AA title, maybe 39.99...)
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
