Prices in Brazil are just insane.

But I think the average pay is higher e.g. in the USA than in Japan, and there new games are 60$, but people still complain...

When we take into account expenses on health insurance and taxation, Japan and the US are about the same. I like to compare GDP per capita as a better indicator. Japan at $47,000 and the USA $49,000. Australia has a GDP per capita of $67,000 and is a complete rip off. edit: looks like stats are different everywhere we look, but in reality they are all wealthy countries.
