The 720p is strong in this one. Well at least it's 60fps. That way I can get those sad attempts at textures even faster behind me.

the whole genre is pretty sad when it comes to graphics, ninja gaiden gaiden black came out 14 years ago and is still looks great. the only game the made it look dated to me in the genre was GOW3 to this date, but that game didn't hit 60 fps. i expected more from the genre graphically, hoping the ps4 can deliver.

Few things wrong here, firstly Ninja Gaiden came out in 2004, it was re released as Ninjagaiden black in 2005, so not only was that game released just 9 years ago instead of 14 it was also running at 480p on the original Xbox which is less than 1/3rd the actual resolution that bayonetta is running and you even linked comparison screenshots of the 2 games, do you really think those screen shots show the same lvl of detail in Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta 2?

re-reading your post actually... are you even talking about Bayonetta at all, or are you just making a point that Ninja Gaiden looked nice for an old game? If that is the case I agree with you, just not on how old it was, to stay 100% on topic I also think that Doom on the SNES looked nice for the year it came out.

my main point was the genre didin't get a huge up grade in graphics on 360/ps3, sure they are techically better, just not a huge upgrade for example ninja gaiden 2 was made for the 360, hardware 20x more powerful, barely looked better then ninja gaiden black. samething goes for baynetta on 360, sure it looked technically better but doesn't look better then ninja gaiden black on 360 in my eyes, the genre never made a nextgen up grade in graphics imo, othere then GOW3 but that wasn't 60 fps.
