Alright. I felt a need to point this out. May it be that the new Link has long sideburns like that of the Defeated Hero Timeline Links, that's all he has in common with them. His clothes are completely designed differently in the trailer. (They all sport a green tunic with brown sleeves and white leg-long stockings or bare legs and brown sleeves.) As well as that his hair isn't completely in line with theirs. All of the Defeated Hero Timeline Links sport very long sideburns and sweeping bangs. Whether it be slightly to the side and upward as in Zelda I, or downward and to the side in all of the others. They still sweep. This new Link lacks a sweep, but more of a modern Link bang style that's more in line with TP, TWW, and SS. His bangs are partially parted, just a little bit. And from there, ruffle up to form "layers" I suppose. Idk, not so good with hair terminology. But it's just different from the sweeps featured in the Downfall timeline. He also features a ponytail, which we have yet to see in the other Downfall Links, unless there's capless artwork of them that I'm unfamiliar with. It is possible in his convention breaking goal, he's trying to change the look of Link. His whole vagabond-esque look (the lack of his familiar tunic and the headrobe he wears to hide his face) makes me think he's being hunted in the games (think Zelda at the end of Twilight Princess. She kept herself cloaked, almost like she carried shame and didn't want to be seen. A personal form of exile..). Perhaps a wanted criminal of the Hyrule Kingdom? Would explain why he's being attacked in the middle of the country, as well as why that horse clearly isn't Epona. It's a brown horse with black hair. Epona has always been a brown-red color with white hair.
