Iwata is still there and they have started R&D on their next console so I think its guaranteed their next console is gonna have a gimmick, and I think gimmicks in controllers are the easiest to pull off, I mean there's not a lot else to work with. Either that or the gimmick is gonna be the portable and home console coming together, even then the portable being the controller would still count as a gimmick in the controller.
