If back in 2010 you were to say that the next iteration of Mario Kart would have be bundled from the get-go, include a free game and that there would be a worldwide, unofficial price cut after 5 days due to the game being massively overshipped, the internet would have came crashing down...and that is exactly what's going on.

The game in the past has shown it has appear, the game tends to sell to about 1/3 of console users, but it will do nothing to change the fortunes of the system that came out 18 months ago.

I think you will find the use of your word dead to be incompatible in this instance. i.e You may say the Sage Megadrive/Genesis is dead, the Wii is almost dead or the PS2 is dead and will see no more games or future life. If you disagree please see the definition of "Dead" below. Even financially, the definition is incorrect, as the system still makes money, just not enough to make a profit. To be dead of money means to not be financially productive. In this case, their is still financial production.
